At first you might think it was Pinot Noir with the powerful nose of ripe summer berry fruit but you will find firmer tannins and richer structure. There's also a delicate smokiness and lots of tertiary meaty, savoury notes followed by some dark spicy fruit on the finish.

The Kiss winery is one of the few producers that consistently produce top performance from the St. Laurent variety
and have more than skillfully proven this with this single - variety wine from the 2012 vintage. All too often this variety is offered as a trivial wine from the steel tank or is only used in a blend.

As a small family run producer Weingut Kiss holds in high esteem their traditions, while still being dynamic and giving people the courage to try something new. For three generations they have nurtured their vineyards with devotion, love and care, making it something special and extraordinary.
