We are a family-run, independent wine merchant based in beautiful West London. Our shops in Kew, Chiswick, Richmond Hill, Teddington, and St. Margarets are integral parts of their local communities. Community matters to us, which is why we love to get involved, engage, and give back whenever possible. We frequently support other businesses, charities, and local schools in their fundraising efforts. Even when organizing our highly sought-after events, we prioritize local halls and venues while also collaborating with nearby restaurants and fellow traders. Below is a snapshot of life in our local communities over time.
Every year, we host the Good Wine Shops Autumn Tasting- a sold out event with over 200 customers and a great opportunity to meet our fabulous winemakers, make new discoveries, and get to know the people behind your favourite bottles. This year, we hosted two phenomenal masterclasses: one featuring the wines of Victoria and another focusing on boutique wineries from Jura. The food offering had a slight Mexican twist, with delicious tacos from our food truck.
The proceeds from our carrier bag charges are regularly donated to local charities. Our most recent donation went to the Kew Community Trust, shown here with Mark Wrigglesworth, the KCT Chairwoman, and the Trustees toasting the contribution.
The Teddington Lights are an annual event that we have proudly highlighted every year since opening our Teddington shop. It's a true community gathering that we eagerly anticipate. It simply wouldn’t feel like Christmas without it, and our mulled wine (a secret Wrigglesworth recipe) has become a beloved tradition of the day, for customers and the team alike.
Every summer, around June or July, you can find us at Kew Green for the annual Kew Fete. It’s one of those can't-miss events where the community truly comes to life, with good food, wine, and entertainment. This is certainly one of the highlights of the year for us and a great opportunity to catch up with old friends while making new ones.
