We're an independent wine merchant in beautiful West London with shops in Kew, Chiswick, Richmond Hill, Teddington and St Margarets. Trading now for nearly 25 years, we pride ourselves on our customer service delivered by our passionate and knowledgeable team of wine experts and enthusiasts. Our strap line of Good Wine, Real People, Great Stories aims to convey the passion we have for small family wine producers, many of whom farm organically and vinify without additives, producing wines of elegance and finesse. All of the wines we list are selected from wines we have tasted ourselves. We know our list and you can rely on our expertise to guide you; both in store and online.

Whilst we are focused on family owned and small producers who have a passion for what they do, we also love variety and enjoy exploring the increasingly and incredibly diverse grape varieties found throughout the wine world. You'll find over 120 different grape varieties to explore on our website and in store. Fancy trying a Nascetta di Novello, a Ruche, a Teroldego, a Nielluccio? Buy with confidence because we don't list wines from a catalogue – we try every wine before we buy it and you can find every wine we list on this website in one of our West London shops. You won't find them though on a supermarket shelf!

Our locations
Conveniently located at Kew Gardens Station and just a few minutes from Kew Gardens itself, this shop, like all our locations, offers more than 800 different wines, complemented by artisanal spirits and craft beers. Popular in-store tastings and a lively wine bar make this a place where the local community can enjoy a good glass of wine paired with British and continental cheeses.
Our Chiswick shop is conveniently located next to Chiswick Cinema, between Turnham Green and Stamford Brook stations. Discover a wide selection of artisanal wines and craft beers from across the globe. Going to the cinema to catch a movie? Why not join us for a glass of wine and a cheese or charcuterie platter beforehand at our in-store wine bar!
Located just around the corner from the beautiful Richmond Park and the Richmond Hill Viewing Point at the top of Terrace Gardens, offering some of the most breathtaking views over London and the River Thames. With a selection of more than 800 wines from across the globe and a lively in-store wine bar with indoor and outdoor seating, this is a real community hub. Be sure to check out our monthly tasting events including Wine Dinners and Big Bottle Party's. The Good Wine Shop Richmond Hill also boast a phenomenal selection of Cuban Cigars.
Located in the heart of Teddington High Street, this shop has proudly served the local community since 2020 with all aspects of wine. It features a wide selection of wines, beers, and spirits from almost every corner of the world. No trip to the local butcher or bakery would be complete without a visit to The Good Wine Shop Teddington. With so many local and independent businesses, it’s no surprise that Teddington is voted one of the best places to live year after year.
The St Margarets store is the newest addition to The Good Wine Shop family. Opened in late 2024, this is somewhat of a homecoming, as it was in St Margarets where the story of The Good Wine Shop began. Come and meet our knowledgeable team and discover a wide variety of wines. The St Margarets store offers wine by the glass and features its own tasting room for wine tasting events or private hire.
Our Head Office is located at our Richmond Hill site. In addition to our website, it’s behind the scenes here that many of our listed wines from across the world first arrive. This is where our passionate Buying Team begins the journey of seeking out good wines from real people with great stories, before they finally make it onto our shelves.
