Vincent Ruiz, Les Noces Alchimiques Grenache 2021

Hand harvested in small crates. Whole bunches go through semi-carbonic maceration in stainless steel vats. No punching down up until the very last days of maceration before pressing, to ensure an extremely gentle extraction. Ageing in vats, without racking or the use of sulphur.

Vincent Ruiz is a young and talented man, who lives in Saint-Romain-de-Lerps, Ardèche. Vincent worked as an assistant to Franck Balthazar in Cornas for several years until he decided to focus on micro negoce project, bottling his first vintage in 2020, at 26 years old. The grapes are sourced from a close friend who farms organically a small parcel of old-vine Grenache Noir planted on sandstone soils in the south of Ardèche.  The result is a rather expressive and characterful wine with great depth and aromatic complexity, whilst retaining impeccable drinkability and precision.

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 1-3 working days.
