A lovely Pale-golden colour, this wine has aromas of ripe peach, vanilla custard, orange blossom and honeysuckle The palate is rich full of ripe, exotic fruits like guava, pink grapefruit, yellow grapefruit pith. There is also a very refreshing note hint of mint. Unlike any other Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc we have had.

Prepared for bottling with a minimal sulphur addition. Unfined, lightly filtered. The wine is made in a natural style with minimal intervention – low sulphur, no fining and the skins are left in contact with the fermentating juice briefly to maximise flavour, body and texture. It is sealed with a crown cap, more commonly seen on beer bottles, but which serves as a perfect closure for wine bottles – expect to see more wines being sealed with this practical closure in the future.

Supernatural Wine Co. was founded in 2009 by Millar Road owner Gregory Collinge and winemaker Gabrielle Simmers. Gabrielle now runsSalmanazar, an export collective focused on taking New Zealand’s finest organic and biodynamic wines to the world. Supernatural Wine Co. is a producer of certified organic, naturally vinified, low sulphur white and skin-fermented white wines from a north-facing hillside estate in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Their philosophy relies on great terroir and traditional processes. They aim to make all of their wines as naturally as possible in order to produce true terroir driven wines. They dry farm the vineyard, use indigenous yeast gathered from the vineyard for fermentation and add nothing to the wines other than a little sulphur before bottling. We do not fine our wines and we have not filtered our skin-fermented wines from the 2015 vintage onwards.
