This volcanic wine, from the steep slopes of Mount Etna is a blend of a number of native grape varieties among which 65% Carricante. Dry with very floral aromas of linden blooms. The mineral character, coming from the volcanic soils, gives the wine a salty edge that blends well with the fresh fruity character reminiscent of green apples. Great with pasta, white meat, seafood, fish and lobster.

The vines that give life to this wine, a blend of Carricante mainly, Catarratto, Grecanico, Minnella and Insolia, were planted on the pundices of the volcano in the forties. The Etna Bianco of Tenuta Terre Nere does not see wood.
Tenuta delle Terre Nere is a benchmark Etna estate owned by the experienced wine aficionado Marco de Grazia. Its first commercial vintage was 2002, making it one of the region’s foremost pioneers. Starting off with one parcel of old goblet vines in the Vigneto Guardiola, Marco has now increased his holdings to numerous parcels including the Santo Spirito, Guardiola, San Lorenzo and Calderara vineyards. The principle varieties grown on the estate are Nerello Mascalese (red) and Carricante (white), which are indigenous to the Etna. Unique, perfumed and spicy De Grazia's wines are some of the region’s most complete and distinguished.
