Plot of 22ares half hillside facing south-east, clay soil offering very little nutrition to the vine. Pinot Noir fine Champagne selection on rootstock 41B planted in 2007. Even in difficult years, the grapes ripen here perfectly without any alteration, and allow vinification as bleeding rosé with long maceration. Aged in 228L barrels of more than 5 wines. Very extracted, atypical rosé. 2013 currently, 2014, 2015, 2016 to come.

Oenologist and agricultural engineer trained in Bordeaux in 2006, Remi Leroy runs a family estate of nearly 9 hectares located in Meurville in the Côte des Bar. His clay-limestone soils come from the Upper Jurassic. The majority are on hillsides - the Kimmeridgian which is also found in Chablis - but the particularity of the Meurville cru, in addition to the generally thin soil, lies in the presence on the plateau dominating the village of pure Portlandien (a quasi exclusive to Champagne) offering even poorer soils.
