Off the Grid Riesling is a quintessential Ovum wine.  Intensley aromatic with luscious texture one might expect from a red wine.  The first thing you'll notice is the deep yellow colour in the glass, this comes from aging white wine in Acacia wood barrels. Aromatics - ripe apricot, Eureka lemon, thyme.  This wine has an unusual aroma that we can only compare to what it smells like when you walk into charcuterie shop...in a good way!

Richly textured, 2021 Off the Grid is a mouthful of wine.  High aciding provides scaffolding and structure, and the 9gL of residual sugar is barely noticable but lays the foundation for long aging.  350 cases produced

Farmed with organic and biodynamic practices, hand harvested, and whole cluster pressed. Bottled in clay to enhance the ageing process. For making the Off the Grid Wine, the Riesling grape varieties are grown in the Illinois Valley, where the soil is very fertile and loaded with natural minerals. With the Klamath Mountains at the backdrop this vineyard, set at a height of 1500 feet above sea level, provides the perfect ambience for the grapes to grow well.

When Ksenija and John House founded the Ovum Wines in 2011, their main objective was to produce the highest quality of authentic Oregon white wines that reflected the true character of the grapes and the places where they were cultivated. Today, seven years later, Ovum is one of the most well-reputed white wine producers in the world. It mostly uses the grape varieties of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Muscat for making white wines.
