The individual grapes are whole bunch pressed to ensure elegant extraction. Natural fermentation took place in seasoned French oak barrels adding layers of complexity. The blended wine was aged for 10 months on the lees contributing to the freshness and richness of the wine.

Olifantsberg is passionate about producing authentic wines with a true sense of place, which reflect the unique location of their vineyard. The focus is on sustainable farming and winemaking practices, resulting in limited intervention in the both the vineyard and cellar. The team are fully committed to understanding their terroir and managing their natural resources through conservation, which adds to the singularity of their wines. The unique terroir with its combination of Breede-shale, Renosterveld and sandstone soils, constant winds and elevation; produce concentrated fruit that results in elegant, fresh and age-worthy wines.

We deliver throughout the United Kingdom with no minimum order requirement. For Mainland UK deliveries, the following charges apply:

White with grunt

If you like a dry white wine, with floral and herb notes, and with length and depth, then go for one of the Olifantsberg white offerings. An Australian som once gave me another term for 'body', when she explained that 'this is wine with grunt'. Great value. If it were in stock, I'd buy more.
