"Les Cras", in old French "Ez crayz" means chalk, an allusion to the limestone soil and its agglomerate of alluvial pebbles covered with earth. Cultivated below the row to promote biodiversity, this plot produces a complex and already very accessible Pommard, with unparalleled finesse and crunchy tannins.

Breeder of saddle horses, Jean-Louis began viticulture by working a vineyard, in Pommard Pézerolles entrusted to him by his grandfather, Henri Lamarche, winegrower in Vosne-Romanée. A mission he carried out successfully and the excellent results there led him at the age of 30 to take over the estate of his mother, Elisabeth Moissenet-Lamarche. And the adventure began! Predisposed by his training as an agricultural technician, Jean-Louis is interested in the quality and the plants of the vines, seeking the quintessence of each terroir and vinifying his Pommards by climate. After buying the buildings from his great-grandparents, he started selling bottles. After training for 3 years in sensory tasting, Jean-Louis obtained a professional taster diploma. At the same time, he expanded the estate and expanded the appellations produced. He is also very involved in the profession and becomes president of the Syndicat des Vins de Pommard, from 2013 to 2016.
