A wine of a deep ruby color. The nose is beautifully fruity and fresh with lovely rose petal notes and a splash of wild strawberry. The mouth feel is fresh, clean and precise. A nice soft blueberry aspect along side a little mango pulp. Intense and delicious finishing with a smoky mineral.

The goal is always to make wines of immediate pleasure that can nevertheless be aged in the cellar for many years. Vinification is adapted to each vintage with the help of oenologist friend Benoit and vineyard manager Rémy. Each terroir is vinified separately and we taste the wines every day during this exhilarating period.

It was in 1989 that Jean-Paul Gruhier, Domique's father had the opportunity to take over the Abbaye du Petit Quincy, also called the Château d'Epineuil. Passionate about heritage and art, this magnificent place but in poor condition is a major challenge for Jean-Paul and Malou his mother. The place is of a beauty and a serenity typical of the places chosen by the Cistercians.

In 1990 Domique took over the reigns at the 4.5 ha vineyard and joined his parents at Petit Quincy where he invested in the outbuildings with a view to restoring them to their initial destination of Cellier. As is often the case with renovation of old buildings many disasters follow in the restoration of the building.

Restorations complete and yet more vineyards acquired and rejunvinated, the Abbaye du Petit Quincy is now more than 30ha of vines.
