Founded in 1905, Domaine Barraud has been a leading estate in Pouilly-Fuissé ever since, and in 1947 one of the first to bottle their production rather than selling it in bulk. You can tell a domaine is serious about its wines when it makes no less than seven different Pouilly-Fuissé’s in small quantities, rather than blending them into one. The Barrauds believe that each vineyard gives such a different expression that it would be a crime to blur them by blending.
