Grapes sourced from a single vineyard in the up and coming wine region surrounding the idyllic Andean town of Cafayate, Argentina. Alluvial, rocky-sandy soil. High terroir vineyard (1850 meters above sea level). Manually harvested, fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts. The must has a cold pre-fermentation of 7 days at 10 degrees centigrade and then extracted with pump-overs and delestage (rack and return) techniques with a total extended maceration of 25 days.

Agustín Lanús is a brave, hard-working and slightly mad winemaker, fascinated with the effect of high altitude in wine. He is fixated with finding small terroirs in remote high altitude sites across the Calchaqui Valleys. His wines are as mind blowing as the dramatically beautiful land where they are coming from.

My Mates Malbec

My friend has a stake in the vineyard - so I tried the wine.... not because he paid me or because i'm on a kickback - but because I love Malbec and that is a nice Malbec - it's that simple. He asked me to try it, I did, he asked me if I like it, i do. Don't take my word for it - try a bottle, it's not going to break the bank and it's a nice wine...
