Chateau de Carles dominates the Isle valley, in the heart of the Fronsac appellation in the Bordeaux region. This 14th century building took on its current appearance during the Renaissance when the greatest minds rubbed shoulders with Montaigne and La Boétie. The estate was started 120 years ago by Senator Guillaume Chastenet de Castaing, and today it is the 4th generation that continues to write the wine history of this family estate.
