The nose poached apples, beeswax and nut-brown butter. The palate is heavily textured and super soft compared to Alpha Box's usual laser-sharp whites, it's very soft and oily and coats the palate in a delightful fashion. Spiced butter and apple strudel all the way. Delicious!

Handpicked, footstomped, basket pressed, barrel fermented. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation occurred. Aged for 6 months in old hogsheads and a secondfill french puncheon.

Since its beginning in 2008, AB&D has become a champion of South Australia's alternative – particularly Mediterranean – varieties, exhibiting innovation at every step of the process by bending traditional winemaking norms.
