The Gift of Rioja

Our gift case contains 3 bottles of delicoius Rioja with one bottle of each of the wines listed below. Who doesn't love the wines from this wonderful region?

These are prestened in a lovely wooden box on a bed of faux straw made of shreddred kiln dried wood. 

• Leza Garcia, LG de Leza Garcia, Rioja 2016, Spain

Aged in new French and American oak barrels for 10 months. A very elegant wine with an expressive nose of black fruit and sweet spice, vanilla and toasty oak. Very fresh with red fruit crunch along with some black fruits, nutmeg, vanilla, a hint of cocoa powder and fine-grained tannin.

• Bodegas Benito Urbina, Rioja Crianza 2015, Spain

This is a silky, polished mid-weight Rioja aged in American oak in the traditional way.

Light red fruit, strawberry flavours with soft spicy notes from oak-ageing and very gentle tannins make it a good match for quite delicate dishes. It will work well with a roast chicken and even with a gutsy fish roast in the oven.

• Valenciso, Rioja Blanco 2023, Spain

Complex aromas combining floral characters with preserved lemon and gently smoky notes. The palate is intense and broad with nuts, stone fruit, minerality and balancing citrus acidity on the finish. Will continue to develop in the bottle.
