A beautifully crafted Godello from arguably one of the most important wine producers in Spain. The nose on this wine starts with an all enticing buttered toast and develops into an array of candied citrus. Then you are met with a host of wonderful flavours creamy soft nuts, tropical citrus grilled pineapple, heathery honey and a wispy smoky finish. This is up there with some of the nicest Burgundy. A must try!

One of Alberto’s smallest production wines with just 1200 bottles made, from parcels on the steep slopes of the Sil river entirely farmed by hand - no tractors here for how steep it is, and how remote!

Alberto Orte was born in Madrid and now lives in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) with his family. Alberto still only aged 24, co-founded the well regarded American Spanish specialist wine importer, Ole and Obrigado. In 2003, Patrick and Alberto decided to establish another company that was directly involved in the production of wine in different areas of Spain, so they created the Vinos Atlantico, whose fundamental mission is to find great vineyard-sites and indigenous varietals from old vines in high elevation vineyards tended in low yielding, balanced soil which will be used as the raw material to handcraft their wines.

A farmer, producer and historian all in one, he has successfully identified over 200 and counting old clones of Palomino Fino and Palomino Jerez and revived and re-planted over 20 grape varieties on the brink of extinction. The importance of this work cannot be under estimated.
