At first sight, the color shows its own nature – as a powerful and robust wine. Its aromatic expression highlights red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and plums. The aging time in French barrels increases its complexity, elegance and enhances an exquisite sensation of concentrated fruit.  In the mouth it shows all the elegance and kindness of well-fused tannins, freshness and outstanding volume.

Both the harvest of the bunches and the selection of the best grapes were carried out manually on selection tables, specially equipped to individually choose only the best of our grapes. The fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 26 °C and 28 °C for 7 days and 30 days of maceration. Then, is aged in barrels for 18 months. 100% of the blend has been aged in French oak barrels for a period of 18 months.

The Orueta family, winemakers in the Central Valley since 1949, relocated their vineyard to Licantén, a cooler coastal sub-region of Curicó Valley, due to rising temperatures.

This area, since 2018 recognized as DO and located 25 km from the Pacific Ocean, was previously unknown for winemaking. The Orueta brothers have demonstrated its potential for producing age-worthy and refined cool-climate reds.

Their 110 ha estate in Licantén dedicates a third of the land to wilderness to prevent monoculture issues. The vineyards span diverse soils, including gravels and Llicorella, similar to the soil in Priorat.
