A Gift of White Wine

Our gift case contains 3 bottles of some of our very favourite whites. With one bottle of each of the wines listed below. Simple but elegant and most importantly very tasty!

These are prestened in a lovely wooden box on a bed of faux straw made of shreddred kiln dried wood. 

• Diwald, Gruner Veltliner Ried Goldberg 2021, Austria

Diwald consider Goldberg as their poster child for Veltliner. It always has something hearty about it: and gives an assertive yet charming wine. Spicy and ripe with a laid-back “baroque” character in warmer years. This complex, profound wine always offers excellent ageing potential!

• Domaine Clotilde Davenne, Chablis 2023, France

This wine has a beautiful aroma of crushed oyster shells, and soft citrus synonymous with the Chablis region. The palate which has great minerality Flavours of white peach and gunflint, coupled with crisp acidity, lend the wine a mouth-watering quality

• AA Badenhorst, Kalmoesfontein White, South Africa

We feel that Chenin Blanc is best suited to be the heart of the blend and that is why it forms the biggest portion of the blend. The aromas are very complex and change considerably in the glass. Perfume, spice, tea, stone fruit and citrus blossoms are some of the notes that can be detected. In the mouth the texture and ripeness and gentle tannins result in a wine that has incredible length and complex flavour profile. The wine also has wonderful fruit volume characterised by stone fruit and mineral flavours. The finish is long and has slight phenolic edges supporting the fruit through the entire length of the wine.
