Uruguay Mixed Case
Following Richard's expedition to Uruguay, he has picked six of his best value finds which express exceptional diversity, innovation and maximum excitement. From the new star white grape, Albarino, to the signature red, Tannat, and beyond... Uruguay is on a high.
This case contains one bottle of each of the wines listed below.
Cloudy with a light fizz, musky note, sweet apple juiciness, super approvable and joyful to drink.
Light clear golden colour. Delicate mineral nose, underripe pears and granny smith apples, and a touch of butter. Textured palate, with refreshing acidity, very long finish.
Delicious, refined and joyful.
Subtle floral notes and white stone fruit lead onto a saline and minerally palate with grapefruity acidity. Elegant and stylish, the lees aging adds a nice balancing richness.
Intense sensation of ripe red fruit and some blackberry, plum & blueberry, with persistent aromas of roses and violets and a hint of fresh herbs and undergrowth. This wine is ample on the palate and lingers by virtue of its elegant freshness.
'Uruguay's wine scene is full of surprises and this enjoyable Barbera – a nod to Pablo Fallabrino’s Piedmont heritage – is a case in point. Fresh unoaked style: herbaceous berry aromas lead to a lively palate, low in tannin, packed with blackberries, cherries and plums. Spicy, savoury and balsamic hints add interest.
