We are proud and delighted to announce that The Good Wine Shop has been awarded Independent Champagne Retailer of the Year 2017 at the Drinks Retailing Awards.
The last year has seen our Champagne range go from strength to strength and we have relished the opportunity to share our passion for Grower Champagnes in particular with over 30 of these unique wines on the shelves among our range of more than 70 Champagnes.
The Judges commended us for the “major in-store presence which champagne has at both our stores” and most importantly “a regular turnover of new wines to keep things fresh and interesting for customers“.
We declared June to be ‘Grower Champagne Month’ and ran our first annual Grower Champagne Showcase tastings in both shops, with over 20 grower Champagnes available to taste for free at each of these events.
It has been a great pleasure to see our customers’ knowledge and passion for Champagne grow in response to the unique and exciting wines we have championed over the last 12 months and to be recognised by the Drinks Retailing Awards for our commitment to this category is a fantastic honour.
