Vigna Lenuzza consider their Schioppettino di Prepotto as their Grand Cru;. The oldest indigenous variety, Bright red in colour. The nose is fine with aromas of cherry and berries which alternate with spicy notes of pepper and liquorice the finish closes with a lovely balsamic note. Velvety and vigorous on the palate, the tannins are well present but velvety.

After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are taken to the cellar for winemaking. After the first fermentation in contact with the skins which lasts about 20 days, the must rests in large French oak barrels for about 2 years. This is followed by assembly, bottling and a further refinement period of at least 4 months before being placed on the market. Aged in 225l French Oak barrels and a further four Months aged in bottle.
