We should call this wine "believe in yourself". They almost didn't bottle the first vintage they tried, weren't sure it'd be good enough. A year later it was selected amongst the best in Austria, one of the Salon wines. It's been that good ever since.

The Waldschutz family established their vineyards in Kamptal in 1849, initially as grape farmers then as winemakers since 1912.

In 1992, Anton, the 5th generation, married Elfriede from a winery in the neighbouring Wagram region and they saw this as a great opportunity to make wines from two regions in one winery!

Today their son, Ralph, is very much the driving force of the winery and his passion and enthusiasm really shine through his wines.

They now have 18 hectares and don't aim to expand any further. Instead, their goal is to continue to be hands-on winegrowers and keep improving in quality, showcasing the uniqueness of their fantastic mineral terroir!

We also offer the option to collect from any of our shops at no extra cost. All Mainland UK orders should be delivered within 1-3 working days.
