Germany - 2023 was a great Riesling year, the grapes were able to ripen slowly and healthily on the vine. The wines are juicy yet elegant. Limestone nose with orange zest and fresh grapes and light peach. The limestone character is also present on the palate that has good tension and wonderful fruit and, as with all of Katharina's wines, incredibly tasty and drinkable with a very nice harmonious, finish with fine aromatics.
England - A crisp citrus flavour, with gentle sweetness of fruit to the palate. Why not try this with fish, seafood and salad
Croatia - Delicately aromatic, wonderfully enticing, with notes of apricot, peach, melon and a light aroma of almond, all unfolding into an extremely elegant. Strong, but soft body coming from maturation in big oak barrels.
Ukraine - A nicely perfumed, slightly floral aroma, with a bit of light berry, delicious ripeness, The palate is richer more dark fruit chocolate and lovely integrated oak. Hints of a lighter style coastal Tuscan Cabernet with a hint of Bordeauxesque about it. Very drinkable indeed.
Portugal - A muscular wine with flavours of dried black fruit, figs and notes of chocolate, spice and presunto.
Georgia - The dark Inky, purple colour immediately draws you in. Clean, bright red & blue fruit on the nose, touch of earthy funk emerges. Seriously structured, tannins course through this and the acidity is up there, like an slightly unripe blackcurrant, despite this there is ripe blackberry, sweet damson fruit, an earthy rusticity that's charming.
