Chambolle-Musigny Vielles Vignes, Frederic Magnien, Burgundy, 2011

About this wine

Frederic Magnien's Chambolle is made from hand-harvested grapes that are 100% destalked and fermented with indigenous yeasts, before being aged in barrel for 14-18 months. The Vieilles Vignes cuvee comes from vines with an average age of 55 years. This is a classic Chambolle, showing all the velvety texture and seductive fruit that the appellation is famous for along with great concentration of flavour. A wine that is capable of ageing, but will be extremely difficult to keep one's hands off!
